Two-way radio hire for film and TV production
The first AD calling the roll, locations clearing the road, transport bringing the artist in, the sparks on their own channel and everybody hearing the lock-off. A production needs a lot of radios, clean channels, batteries that last a fourteen-hour day and someone who will swap a dead unit by call time.
We supply production fleets of FW-400 radios with surveillance earpieces and six-way chargers, FW-600 radios for the ADs and HP605 or R7 radios for exterior units, and a repeater for large locations. Channels are set to the production's plan, with the ADs on channel one and camera, sound, locations, transport and so on on their own. Licensing is covered under our supplier licence, and for long shoots we apply for dedicated frequencies.
Hire by the day, the week or the whole shoot, delivered to the unit base with spares. Out-of-hours support for night shoots is arranged in advance.

Film and TV production: common questions
How many channels can we have?
As many as the production needs. A typical drama runs eight to twelve groups. We programme them to your channel plan and the radio announces the channel name.
Can you deliver to a location outside your area?
Yes. Nationwide delivery to the unit base by courier, or in our own vehicle across the south of England.
Do we need a licence?
No. Production hire runs under our Ofcom supplier licence. For shoots over a month, or in congested areas, we apply for dedicated frequencies.
