Radios in Fleet
Fleet has a full calendar of community events: the Carnival procession along Fleet Road in the summer, the fireworks and the Christmas lights switch-on, parkrun around Fleet Pond on a Saturday morning, and a run of school fairs, church fêtes and scout events through the year. All of them need marshals who can hear each other along a long route.
The town centre along Fleet Road and the Hart Shopping Centre is a tight retail strip where a shop-to-shop radio link gives staff an instant way to warn each other about shoplifters and call for help. The business parks at Ancells Farm and Waterfront, and the offices along Fleet Road, have facilities and security teams who lease small radio fleets for day-to-day work.
Fleet is a short drive from our base in Aldershot, so same-day delivery is routine. Community groups, the Fleet Lions and local charities can apply for free hire for their events.
