Radios in Farnborough
Farnborough is the next town along from our base, and it is a town that runs on big, organised occasions. The Farnborough International Airshow and the exhibition centre bring tens of thousands of visitors, hundreds of exhibitors and a traffic plan that needs marshals on every approach. We are ten minutes away.
Away from the airfield, the business parks along the A325 and around Cody Technology Park house engineering, aerospace, logistics and technology firms with large sites, security gates and facilities teams. Many of them lease a radio fleet rather than hire, so the handsets, batteries and support are a fixed monthly cost. Retail is concentrated in Kingsmead and The Meads, where a shop-to-shop radio link gives staff a quick way to warn each other and call for help.
Farnborough also has a busy community calendar: Farnborough FC at Cherrywood Road, open days at the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust museum, school fairs in Cove and North Camp, and runs through Southwood Country Park. Charities and community groups here can apply for free hire.
