Two-way radios for retail, Shopwatch and Pubwatch
In a shop, a radio links the till, the stockroom, the shop floor and the car park. In a town centre, a Shopwatch or Pubwatch scheme links every member business to each other and to the CCTV control room, so when one shop spots a known shoplifter or a group causing trouble, the others know within seconds and the police are already watching on camera. We supply and look after the radios for both.
For a single shop or a small chain, the Hytera BD505 or our FW-400 is a sensible choice. For a Shopwatch or Pubwatch scheme we supply scheme-ready handsets on a monthly subscription that covers the licence, the repeater, swap-outs when a radio fails, and an emergency button linked to the control room.
If your town does not have a scheme yet, get in touch. A new scheme needs a sponsor, usually the council, the police neighbourhood team, a BID or a shopping centre, and we can help with the licence, the repeater and the roll-out.

What matters in retail, shopwatch and pubwatch
The problems radios solve here, and how we set them up.
Shop floor to car park
A licensed 5 W handheld covers a large store and the car park outside.
Keeping it discreet
D-shape and acoustic-tube earpieces keep the radio out of the customer's view.
Town-wide alerts
On a Shopwatch channel one call reaches every member and the CCTV room. The emergency button sends the shop's ID to the control room.
Staff turnover
Pre-programmed channels and voice announcement mean new staff can use the radio on their first shift. Lost or broken radios are swapped next day.

Retail, Shopwatch and Pubwatch: common questions
What is a Shopwatch radio scheme?
A Shopwatch, Pubwatch or town-link scheme is a group of local businesses on a shared private radio channel, usually linked to the council CCTV control room and the police. Members warn each other about shoplifters, banned individuals and anti-social behaviour as it happens. Membership is normally a small annual or monthly fee that includes the radio.
Can we join an existing scheme with your radios?
Usually. Most schemes run on DMR or analogue UHF, and with the scheme operator's agreement we can programme our radios to its channel.
How much does it cost per shop?
Scheme radios go out on a monthly subscription per handset that includes the licence, maintenance and swap-outs. Tell us how many premises and we will quote.
