Two-way radios for facilities management
Facilities teams are spread thinly across large estates. A caretaker in one building, a security officer on the gate, an engineer in a plant room, and a helpdesk that needs to know who is nearest to the job. Radios give the helpdesk one button to reach the team, and give the engineer alone in a basement at ten at night a way to call for help.
On a single estate we fit HP605 or R7 handhelds through a repeater that covers every building and the car parks, with a display model for the duty manager so the helpdesk can see where the team is and send jobs as messages. Across a portfolio of sites in different towns, PoC radios put every site and every mobile engineer on one network over 4G.
FM contracts run for years, so the fleet usually goes on a lease matched to the contract term with replacements and reprogramming included. We also hire for mobilisations and project work.

What matters in facilities management
The problems radios solve here, and how we set them up.
Out-of-hours lone workers
Lone-worker timers and man-down protect the engineer and the security officer working alone at night.
Several buildings, several sites
A repeater covers an estate. PoC radios cover a portfolio across the country.
Compliance
Call logs and GPS history from the dispatch console give an audit trail for lone-worker policies.
Contract changes
Fleets grow and shrink with the contract. Leases can flex with you.

Facilities management: common questions
Can the helpdesk see where the engineers are?
Yes. GPS-equipped radios report their position to a dispatch console that shows every radio on a map and keeps a history.
Can one radio system cover sites in different towns?
Yes, with PoC radios, which work over 4G and Wi-Fi anywhere in the UK. On-site DMR fleets can be linked into the same system.
Do you support the radios through the contract?
Yes. Leases include batteries, replacements, reprogramming and a next-day swap for faulty units for the whole term.
